17006 – Mobile App Notifications

If you have purchased the Mobile App add on to your site, your user will be able to receive app notifications.

Note! The user of the app must have tapped on the Allow button to allow app notifications.

Once done, the user can be notified instantly when specific events happen.

 

All notifications will show  the following content first:

  • Title: Site Name
  • Source: Domain URL (can’t be changed)

Depending on the notification event, a specific text will be displayed.

Note: Likes are not supported on app notifications to avoid spamming the user with too many notifications.

Here is a breakdown of notification events:

 

Private Chat message to a Client

        • Text: New Message From {Admin Name} on {Page Name}
        • Action: on tap goes to the private chat page

Private Chat message to Admin From Client

        • Text: New Message From {Client Name} on {Page Name}
        • Action: on tap goes to the private chat page on the web portal, not admin

Social Wall reply: Sent when a new comment is added to a social wall post the user has created or has participated in.

        • Text:  {Client Name} commented on {Client Name} post on {Page Name}
        • Action: on tap goes to the social wall page

Private conversation with a specific member: Sent when you get a new message or reply from another member on the private conversation page

        • Text: New Message From {Member Name}
        • Action: on tap goes to the private conversation page between users

Forum thread reply: Sent when a new comment is added to a forum thread the user has created, participated in, or is watching the thread

        • Text: New Reply on Forum Thread: {Thread Name}
        • Action: on tap goes to the forum thread page

Forum or Social Wall mentions: Sent when the user gets mentioned in a social wall or forum thread comment

        • Text: {NAME} Mentioned you in {Destination Name}
        • Action: on tap goes to the forum thread page

Custom Notification: Sent from Mobile App page on admin.
You may provide the required data and after clicking the send button, the message will be sent to the selected audience.

To do this:
  • Go to Boosters on the Admin dashboard.
  • Click on the Notifications.

Notification Text – Simply enter your message in this box.

Target Audience – Select the audience who will receive the notification.
+ All – the notification will be sent to members and non members of your site (public pages where the web notifications feature has been enabled).
+ Members – the push notification will be sent to the members who have installed your 10XPRO Mobile app and who have access to the selected course from the drop-down.
+ Non Members – the notification will be sent to non members only. Public pages where web notifications feature has been enabled.

Action – This will be the action when someone taps on the notification.
+ None – (default)
+ Open Page – you may select a page from your 10XPRO site that you want the users to open when they click on the notification.
+ Open URL – you may add an external URL and it will launch on the mobile phone’s default browser.
+ Open App – your 10XPRO Mobile App will launch.

Important:
Something to remember this is not an instant messaging and audiences will not receive the message real time. The message will likely take 5-10 minutes to be sent to audiences
